Journey Home for Empowered Living and DyingÂ
Renee Moor founded Journey Home, a registered charity dedicated to supporting individuals through life’s most profound transitions.
We offer compassionate care and guidance to those living with loss, navigating palliative or terminal diagnoses, or seeking to explore empowered living and dying.

As an inclusive organization, we provide education, advocacy, bereavement support, and
end-of-life doula services, ensuring everyone is met with respect, dignity, and
honour at the end of life.
Our Services:
Peace of Mind Planner Workshops - for you and your loved ones
Using Journey Home’s Peace of Mind Planner, we help you create a roadmap for family and friends. The planner guides you in capturing key contacts, friends, and family and documenting important information, including honey-do lists, social media, and digital accounts.
This workbook and workshop discuss advanced healthcare directives, funeral plans, legacy wishes, and final reflections in a safe, compassionate space. Although this subject is challenging, it offers peace when planned.

Death Doulas - compassionate listening, end-of-life planning, and MAiD support
Not unlike a birth doula, Journey Home’s doulas connect with clients and their loved ones to provide comfort, support and practical advice in a time of chaos and confusion. End of life doulas help our clients create peaceful and meaningful memories as they relinquish control and surrender to their journey home.
Our doula programs are customized for each client. Compassionate listening and end-of-life planning can provide both comfort and a sense of control. For those seeking MAiD, our doulas help navigate the decision-making process, paperwork, and logistics.

Bereavement Services- - supporting you in the wild edges of loss, sorrow and grief
Journey Home offers a safe space to be with your loss through group grief support, holistic healing through sound healing, art therapy, meditation and yoga, as well as private sessions for you and your family.

Grief is an intense emotion; knowing you are not alone can ease its heaviness.

Education and Advocacy - empowerment through knowledge
Journey Home empowers our community to understand their options and rights as patients and caregivers. We advocate for you when end-of-life choices become too exhausting to manage independently.
Journey Home offers free workshops, death cafes, and one-on-one discussions to demystify the logistics of palliative care, provide death preparedness, and manage caregiver fatigue.
